Old Girls' Day - third Sunday of October On the third Sunday of October, Assumption San Lorenzo has its homecoming which is fondly referred to as Old Girls' Day. On that day, there is a mass at 9am followed by a lunch and at 3pm there is the Velada in the Mother Rose Auditorium (formerly Hall). The Velada or "soiree" is a program that is hosted by the silver jubilarians, the ones celebrating 25 years after high school. The Silver Jubilarians (25 years) are the main hosts together with the Gold Jubilarians (50 years). Over the years, the former silver jubilarians have enjoyed the velada so much that they started wanting to perform sooner than their golden year, so now there's Pearl (30), Jade (35), Ruby (40), Sapphire (45), Emerald (55), Blue Diamond (65), Platinum (70). It's cute to see all the titas and lolas attend in their plaid uniforms complete with ankle socks and leather black flats. (Ehm, no worries if you can't find or fit into your old uniforms, everyone has theirs made again anyway.) Because the show has gotten bigger every year and the Mother Rose Auditorium is too small to accommodate everyone, they actually put on an additional show - a family show on the Saturday at 5pm. This is the show without speeches or awards and also the very old batches are not required to attend so it's a much faster program. There is also a dress rehearsal on that Friday which is a whole run through of the program with blocking.
